Client Success Manager.

Are you a resourceful and experienced client service professional looking for the opportunity to grow in a fully-remote startup?

This is the chance to join a fast-paced and exciting internet business where you’ll play a key role in helping us grow at a pivotal time in our history.

Why you should work with Sales Schema.

The sales landscape is changing forever from old school cold calling to one where relationships and virtual tribes determine our purchasing decisions, and at Sales Schema, we are at the front of this change.

Using a proprietary data and outreach process called Relationship Sales At Scale ™ , we help our clients keep the pipeline full and generate reliable new business by getting them in touch with prospects based on professional and personal commonalities, instead of the same old cold outreach everyone else is doing. This approach generates dozens of new relationships each month, often with skeptical C-level decision-makers in the biggest companies on Earth.

As our Client Success Manager, you will own the client relationship, uncovering needs and challenges, offering solutions, and helping us optimize our products and services.  You will be joining us at a key stage of our growth as more companies bring their sales processes digital.

The problems we’re most excited to solve are beyond our current areas of expertise, which is motivating to us, and in the next twelve months we plan to roll out our first ever data and sales engagement software platform. This motivation enables incredible growth for people joining us, and we are willing to give enormous responsibilities to someone if they demonstrate the right abilities to run with them. Things don’t get boring around here.

Position Details

As Client Success Manager, your main responsibility will be managing client relationships to increase retention.

You will helm several key client accounts, execute internal sales and marketing campaigns, and improve our operations overall.

You will lead a key operational role in a small but growing company, which will encompass significant creativity and leadership.

Examples of Responsibilities:

  • Leading client onboarding and check-in calls.
  • Setting up outbound sales campaigns for clients, involving channels like email, phone, and LinkedIn.
  • Managing remote team members and partners to meet deadlines.
  • Co-producing our industry-focused podcast.
  • Coordinating internal marketing campaigns.
  • Optimizing internal processes and communicating with our team.

Position competencies.

A day in the life of a Sales Schema Client Success Manager.

You log into one of your four client sales inboxes and see that the CMO of a global retailer and several more heavy hitters want to meet with our client, a fifty-person marketing agency based in Denver – this campaign is killing it!

You let the team know over Slack, and while you’re at it, you start thinking of a sales outreach approach that would double down on the success of the current strategy,, and you set up time to further discuss the idea with our campaign Strategist.

You peruse your other client accounts, updating progress and prepping for two monthly standing meetings later in the week, where you will talk with clients about campaign performance and ideas for optimization.

From there, you lead an on-boarding call with a new client over Zoom. After our sales team does the introduction, you go through a short presentation, letting our client know exactly what to expect during the two-week onboarding period. From there, coordinate campaign setup processes, involving email domains, billing, and LinkedIn.

Later in the day, as co-producer of The Digital Agency Growth Podcast, you schedule an upcoming guest, and you check in with our outsourced production company on the episode release schedule for the next 30 days. This guest, the founder of a large New York ad agency, sparks an idea for another great fit for the show, and you make a note to bring this idea up with our CEO during the next all-hands meeting.

Throughout your day, although you received early support and instruction from our team, you are highly autonomous and resourceful.

Position outcomes.

If the above sounds like a good fit, the rest of the requirements are pretty straightforward.

  • Be available for Zoom calls with our team and clients during continental US business hours.
  • Communicate promptly with us over phone, email, Slack, and our CRM.
  • Achieve certain client retention and satisfaction KPIs, to be discussed later in the process.

Compensation.

This will start as a part-time (around 20-hour per week) position @ $25-30 per hour.

The right candidate should expect to transition to full-time employee status within 4-6 months, in the realm of $50k-60k per year (a combination of base salary plus performance bonus based on client retention and positive feedback).
